An Exotic Chai for Grimms, Wesen, and You!
Rosalee’s Exotic Chai is a light chai blend with an Assam Black Tea base. All of our favorite chai spices are in this blend, including coriander, cinnamon, pink peppercorns, cardamom, cloves, star anise, ginger, and nutmeg.
The Assam black tea that is used in this blend holds up very well to the spices and will also hold up to milk or cream, and sugar or honey, so don’t be afraid to create your own perfect light chai tea latte or experiment with a variety of cream and sugar additives. What you won’t find in this blend is any cloyingly sweet elements, nor any palette burning spices, just a nice robust tea with warm spices.
Rosalee’s Exotic Chai is not a replacement for your favorite Masala Chai. The spices in this light chai blend are much more subtle. To increase the spice in the flavor profile, we recommend using 2 teaspoons per 8 ounces of water and letting it steep at least 10 minutes at 208°F to 212°F. You can also take your Rosalee’s Exotic Chai and put it in a mortar and crush it a bit to give these glorious spices a head start to bring all of their spicy goodness to your cup. If you do this, we recommend starting with a 5-minute steep time and increasing as needed to get to the flavor profile you desire.
While Rosalee’s Exotic Chai tea blend was not available at her Exotic Spice and Tea Shop, we’re sure a large cup of this chai potion is recommended for all Wesen battling supernatural ailments.

This is a fabulous chai tea! Warm without being overpowering, you can really taste the individual spices. The black Assam brings the spices together with just the right touch of background classic tea flavor. I really love how light this blend is on caffeine. I can drink it as an after dinner tea and still fall asleep on time (and I’m a real light weight when it comes to caffeine!).
