Pears and Tea Go Together Deliciously!
If you’ve been waiting for a full-flavored pear tea, then look no further than our Obstinate, Headstrong Girl blend! This blend is just as strong as our favorite Jane Austen character, Elizabeth, in Pride and Prejudice.
Our pear tea blend starts out with black tea, and then we added lemongrass, blue cornflowers, dried pears, and freeze dried pears! There is also some blackberry leaf, lime leaf, and natural pear flavor to round out the flavors in this blend. You will find your cup a little bit sweet, a little bit tart, and a lot delicious!
Pears are one of the highest fiber content fruits around. They are also considered a low-glycemic fruit. Pears have also been shown to boost immunity, help with maintaining heart health, and is a source of the mineral copper which tends to be a long forgotten mineral in our diets.
“Obstinate, headstrong girl! I am ashamed of you!” – Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice Hurled as an insult by Lady Catherine de Bourgh but here to be worn as a badge of honour.
While said as an insult, every obstinate, headstrong girl wears it as a badge of honor.
Although there is nothing obstinate about our pear tea blend, we will say that it stands up on its own very nicely, but you may find that a touch of honey may elevate your tastebuds. Even the Lady Catherine would find it hard to deny the robustness of the black tea is capable of withstanding a little extra to bring out the bring out the lovely sweetness of the pears.
Obstinate, Headstrong Girl is part of the custom blend program here at Happy Turtle Tea. The custom request was to re-create a tea made with Black Worcester Pears, from days gone by. While we weren’t able to source any Black Worcester Pears, we sure hope you’ll give our delicious pear tea blend a try.
