Remember that Rooibos and Honeybush both come from South African plants and are not only sweet naturally, but also caffeine-free, low in tannins (which is why these do not become bitter when steeped), and full of antioxidants. Additionally, they are. The leaves from these two plants are very similar. However, Honeybush is a bit sweeter and has a slight honey flavor while Rooibos is nuttier and has more earthiness.
