Oh what a wonderful world it would be if we could be on the Middle Earth Meal Plan? Six meals a day, can you imagine (seven if you go by the movies)? Elevenses was considered a late morning snack served around 11am (did you guess that already). This Peach Oolong Tea is the perfect opportunity for a late morning tea!

So, we have created the ultimate tea blend to go with the Hobbit's Elevenses meal. It is a beautifully smooth Oolong tea blended with apples, raspberries, schisandra berries, hawthorne berries, peaches, rosemary, and date sugar (organic cane sugar infused with date powder). Try this with a bit of lemon cake for the perfect tea time snack!

Did you know that schisandra berries are said to contain each of the five basic flavors: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and spicy? For those that study elemental energies, it is also said that the schisandra berry contains essences of all five of the elemental energies. These bright little red berries grow on a vine mostly in China and Russia. Chinese folklorists say that the schisandra berry calms the heart and quiets the spirit, and Russian folklore suggests that they were once consumed to combat fatigue. Hawthorne berries, another tiny red berry that is part of the rose family (also known as 'hawberry') are sweeter and actively used in western herbalism to support heart circulation and has been used to treat other heart conditions dating back to the Middle Ages.
