Throat Comfort Tea to the Rescue!

Always have a cup of our throat comfort tea blend handy when making bargains with sea witches! Ursula's Bargain is inspired by Disney's The Little Mermaid. While we can't guarantee that Ursula won't be fighting mad when she finds out all of her work has been undone, we can ensure you that our cinnamon throat tea will make it all worthwhile!

The majority of teas out there for sore throats are herbal. We took a different approach to our throat comfort tea and made it with a black tea base. This does mean that it is not caffeine free, but when your throat hurts, it is usually accompanied by fatigue and general drowsiness, so a bit of caffeine is just what Ariel called for.

Ursula's Bargain is a black tea blend with cinnamon, slippery elm bark, wild cherry bark, ginger root, marshmallow root, orange peel, licorice root, and natural cinnamon flavor. Even if your taste buds aren't cooperating, we hope the cinnamon, ginger, and licorice will burst through so you can taste the bit of spicy goodness in this blend.

The inner bark of the Slippery Elm is mucilaginous. Native Americans used the bark for healing wounds and early pioneers chewed it in order to quench thirst. During the American Revolution it was known to have been used to treat gunshot wounds. We've added it to this blend because of its ability to coat and sooth the throat. There are also studies showing that it is effective for acid reflux. Similarly, Native Americans used the bark of wild cherry trees to use for coughs. This is also commonly used in Chinese medicine to relieve coughing. Then we add marshmallow root which has also been used for many years to provide relief for coughs and congestion.

Ursula doesn't stand a chance, and neither does your sore throat! Paired with any of our other wellness blends, you're sure to win any encounter your body can throw at you.
