An Invigorating Oolong Tea
Ginseng Oolong is a rolled tea that has been coated in ginseng powder and licorice. You will find a nice fragrant aroma that once brewed provides a smooth taste with a sweet zingy-ness from the ginseng.
Ginseng has been used in traditional Chine medicine for hundreds of years. Ginseng Root is full of the powerful antioxidants and has been shown reduce inflammation, strengthen the immune system, lower cholesterol, and lower blood pressure.
As we have mentioned before, Oolong tea is partially fermented unlike black tea which is fully fermented. Oolong tea has been studied in depth and some studies show that it helps lower the risk of heart disease. It is high in polyphenols and there is some emerging evidence that Oolong tea may help slow down the development of cancer cells. Remember that Oolong tea does contain caffeine, so if you are trying to lower your caffeine intake, please keep this in mind. The other thing to note with Oolong tea is that you want to brew it at a slightly lower temperature than black tea but may taste better with a slightly higher brew time. Do not be afraid to experiment to find the perfect cup. Also, our Ginseng Oolong’s flavor profile will grow through multiple steepings.
